[ad_pod ]According to Canal plus journalist Romain Collet-Gaudinâ€, Liverpool are set to go back in for Nabil Fekir but are only prepared to offer up to €30m (£26.7m).Â
What’s the word, then?
Well, the Reds were chasing the French international last summer and it ended up being arguably the biggest transfer saga of the summer window.
Fekir came within inches of becoming a Liverpool player and even underwent a medical with the Merseysiders, before an issue with the results saw the Premier League side back out of the £53m deal.

However, the Champions League winners reportedly retain an interest and are hoping to get the Lyon No.10 for around £25m less, perhaps due to the fact that Fekir has just one year remaining on his contract with the Ligue 1 side.
The 25-year-old’s form has been quite good since the failed move, notching 12 goals and nine assists last term.
Liverpool risk looking foolish by reigniting their interest
Jurgen Klopp’s side have become one of the most well run clubs from a business perspective in recent years, and the fact that they pulled out of a deal for Fekir in the first place means that there was clearly something that concerned them.
At a first glance, it could be deemed as another Michael Edwards masterclass if Fekir is brought to Anfield for around half of the originally agreed fee, but even so, £26.7m is a lot of money to spend on a player who the Reds have clear concerns over.
They risk looking foolish if the playmaker is now signed but suffers a serious injury in relation to their original concerns and misses a substantial period whilst recovering, no matter what the price.
It would’ve been very easy for the Reds to overlook their concerns regarding Fekir’s fitness given the fact that his last serious injury was back in 2015, but they gained some credibility for putting their worries over the asset first and by pulling out of the expensive deal.
If they now decide to ignore all of that, they risk looking silly if something happens to the France international.
