With transfer deadline day now upon us, it appears as though Spurs are still in the market for a forward.
Olivier Giroud may reportedly skip training in order to force through an exit from Chelsea with Tottenham hovering, according to Sky Italia (via The Daily Mail), but it appears as though a move for Willian Jose is back on the cards.
The forward has been touted with a switch to north London previously in the window but Sky Sports report they were stumbling over Real Sociedad’s £25m asking price.
Yet, it’s now been revealed that he’s available for loan after the Spanish club offered him to Manchester United.
Spurs are continuing discussions with Sociedad in order to try and complete a loan move, but the very latest suggests United have actually turned down the approach.
The fact that he was now available on loan, however, was a piece of news which caused debate on Twitter with certain supporters as some urged Daniel Levy to finally conclude a deal for a centre-forward. With the player now apparently available on temporary terms, it would be foolish if Tottenham didn’t go all out to try and bring him to London.
Further fans said that this move would make sense, potentially citing the new terms of the deal that would see the Premier League side put their chequebooks away and bring him to the capital for a loan stay, rather than a permanent £25m one.

One individual even urged a possible deal to include an option to buy at the end of a loan switch.
A final fan declared that this possible move could go as far as saving Spurs’ season.
Such is their desperation without star man Harry Kane, that it appears as though certain individuals are beginning to become quite restless. Replacing Kane, however, who has already scored 17 times this term won’t be easy.
In comparison, Willian Jose has just eight strikes to his name in La Liga throughout 2019/20.
Whether the 28-year-old does join on deadline day remains to be seen, but it’s certainly a move to keep our eyes on.
