Entering the season on the back of winning the Golden Boot at the World Cup, Harry Kane has hit the ground running at Tottenham Hotspur – finally ending his August goalscoring jinx in the process.
He remains as the crown jewel in Mauricio Pochettino’s side but concerns over a burnout have risen following his involvement in Russia, with Kane very rarely missing games for club or country as he leads the line for both.
With Spurs set to battle on all fronts once again this season, and facing a difficult test in their Champions League group, Pochettino must be wary of becoming over-reliant on Kane and needs to think about resting his star man for upcoming games.
Crucial tests lie ahead against Liverpool and Inter Milan, the latter of which is the first of Spurs’ European matches this season, with Tottenham then travelling to Brighton – where Kane should be rested, as well as sitting out the League Cup clash with Watford.
So, Tottenham fans, which game do you think Kane should be rested for? Or should Spurs continue to use him in every match? Share your thoughts in our poll below…
