da imperador bet: England manager Roy Hodgson has admitted that he is disappointed with John Terry’s decision to retire from international football.
da wazamba: The Chelsea defender has announced that he will not step-out for the Three Lions again, and has blamed his decision on the ongoing investigations of the FA over racist abuse claims from Anton Ferdinand.
The experienced centre-half has amassed 78 caps for the home nation, and Hodgson has confessed that he tried to get Terry to reconsider his decision.
“I am of course disappointed to lose a player of John’s international experience and exceptional ability,” Hodgson is quoted as saying in The Telegraph.
“I have enjoyed a good relationship with John during my time as England manager and I reluctantly accept his decision. I can also confirm that he had the courtesy to call me prior to announcing his retirement from the England team.”
Terry is currently under investigation from the FA.
