da esoccer bet:
da heads bet: Chelsea completed the £58m signing of Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic on Wednesday, and they may well have dealt London rivals Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer plans a fatal blow as a result.
What’s the word, then?
Well, the Blues confirmed that they had brought the USA international to Stamford Bridge in a big-money move, although he won’t link up with Maurizio Sarri’s men until the summer after he was loaned back to the Bundesliga giants for the remainder of the season.
Belgian journalist Kristoff Terreur revealed via his official Twitter account on Wednesday that Dortmund are interested in signing Borussia Monchengladback wide man Thorgan Hazard as the 20-year-old’s replacement, and they obviously now have the money needed to do a deal.
That certainly isn’t good news for Spurs and manager Mauricio Pochettino however, with German media outlet Bild reporting only last month that the Argentine is keen to bring the ex-Chelsea man back to the capital.
Are Tottenham’s hopes of signing him over?
Not yet, and it still depends on a few factors.
As we mentioned previously, if Hazard fancies staying in Germany then there is no doubt that a move to a club that usually regularly competes in the Champions League would appeal to him, but he may not even be guaranteed to start given Jadon Sancho’s prominent rise this term.
That said, the Bundesliga leaders have the money to give both Monchengladbach and the player offers they can’t afford to refuse, and Tottenham would certainly be relying on the Belgium international wanting to play in the Premier League rather than remaining in the Bundesliga – even then Chelsea reportedly have a lower buy-back clause available themselves for Eden’s brother.
